According to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, the rare giant elephant bird egg have been sold at an auction held at Christie's hall for 30,000 pounds. It is noteworthy that this bird egg is larger than the size of chicken eggs, equivalent to almost 100 times with a height of 30 cm and 21 cm in diameter.

Elephant bird also looks like the ostrich bird with a length of almost 11 feet. It is believed that hunting this bird led to the extinction in Madagascar between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries.
